May 2005 Seniors' afternoon a success

A full house of seniors was entertained and had a very pleasant afternoon at Edmonton's Victoria Soccer Club as the GCAA held its annual Seniorennachmittag on Sunday, 15 May 2005. Over 300 seniors attended this event, at which GCAA President Heinz Kleist served as master of ceremonies. The Honourable Dr. Horst A. Schmid, former Alberta Heritage Minister and long-time supporter of the German community in Alberta, gave a stirring address on the efforts and many accomplishments of German immigrants
